Many of my decisions about which components to use are documented in the parts list that I've created for the project. I now have gathered almost all of the necessary parts. The key parts that determine performance, range, and cost are the batteries and the motor controller. The charger and the drive motor also affect these but to a lesser extent.

The chargers arrived today and I intend to order the batteries in the next few days. I'll use 8V flooded-lead acid Golf Cart batteries. Here's a copy of my parts list. Items highlighted in light green are already in my possession.
